Kunka Corporation is set to rock Thailand’s sports car category again through the official launch of its new KTM X-Bow on this July 21, after its overwhelming success on the Austrian KTM big bike whose market share tops 30% after its initial launch in January. To complement its products, the company also has a plan to open KTM X-Bow Sports Driving Academy to help the Thai sports racers win the World Championship.
Mr. Pisit Kunanantakula, CEO of Kunka Corporation Co., Ltd., reveals today that after its overwhelming success as importer and Thailand’s sole distributor of the Austrian KTM big bike whose market share in 2010 tops 30% after its initial launch in January, Kunka Corporation is now set to launch its new sports KTM X-Bow, which is believed to capture speed racers’ hearts in no time. Built under “Ready to Race” concept, KTM X-Bow truly offers design, technology, quality and performance. With an Audi engine, KTM X-Bow is designed by Kiska Design Studio and uses a Monocoque body developed by Dallara, which is a reputable company among Formula 1 racers.
KTM X-Bow uses 4-cylinder aluminum engine and 6-speed 2,000-cc manual transmission system, which could produce a maximum of 270 hp at 6,000 rpm. to suit Thai driver behavior. With a total weight of only 790 kilos, it could accelerate to 0-100 kmh in just 3.9 seconds. With two exclusive models, i.e. the X-Bow ROC and Superlight, KTM X-Bow has a unique selling proposition. It could run smoothly either on roads or racetracks, since each driver could easily adjust its suspension system to suit their own driving pleasure. In addition, it is most suitable for motor sport drivers, since KTM X-Bow uses the same design and technology standards as that of any Formula 1 sports car, which yields a unique, unfiltered driving adventure.
“We are highly confident in KTM X-Bow. This extremely outstanding sports car is produced by a world class car maker and has a solid demand in the market. Kunka Corporation will be the first to do this sports car segment aiming at A+ customer who enjoys the luxury of unlimited purchasing power and lifestyle in Thailand and our customers are assured of complete range of accessories and spare parts from genuine suppliers as well as professional after-sale services provided by our team of experts trained directly by KTM.” Mr. Pisit said.
Kunka Corporation has been entrusted by KTM AG of Austria, a world renowned motor bike maker, with its sole distributorship in Thailand. In its brand building efforts, Kunka Corporation first started with the launch of KTM big bike in early 2010. In order to re-emphasize its leading position in the motor sport industry, it subsequently follows with the official launch of KTM X-Bow, which will be at Wonder World, Raminthra K.M. 10, on July 21, through its marketing activities and public relation activities. In this event, a handsome budget has been set aside for fun-filled activities to entertain motor sports VIP and celebrities. With test runs on simulated racing circuit and two X-Bow exclusive models to make first time ever presence in Thailand as its highlights, Kunka Corporation has also prepared surprise present, a business class travel package, for those signing contracts onsite to actually experience KTM X-Bow in leading racing circuit in Austria.
In late 2010, Kunka Corporation has a plan to open Kunka Academy. The driving academy, which is meant for professional racers, will initially start with a comprehensive course on KTM X-Bow. With real sports car and real sports racer from KTM Austria, this Ready-to-Race course is meant for all sporty drivers to intensively learn and train how to properly drive sports cars and to provide an opportunity for all racers to put theories to test. Besides serving as one of the many customer relation activities to be run throughout the year, the course, which will be continually open every two months, will also be used as a venue to screen and select a Thai representative in the KTM X-Bow World Competition at Salzburgring in Austria in 2011.
