This year students from 11 universities throughout Thailand will take pleasure in the entertainment beat from popular singers / bands and full range of Acer, Gateway and eMachines products and promotion. As always, this year highlight will be ‘ACER-INTEL ePublishing Business Model Contest’ where students will be able to show and share their creativity in Digital Content business model development.
Mr. Nitipat Praweenwongwuthi, Senior Manager, Marketing Division, Acer Computer Co., Ltd., cited that this is our 7th anniversary for the ACER-INTEL Unwire Campus campaign which highlight our commitment to the education industry especially university student. They are the future of white-collar. This year theme is ‘MVP’ in sports, entertainment, creativity and technology. In order to recognize their talents, we will have a contest calls ‘ACER-INTEL ePublishing Business Model contest’ where student can be as creative as they can to develop an end-end application includes: production, on any platforms like eReader, Smart phone, Tablet etc, and commercialization. We also hope that we will be able to have the most valuable personnel for the industry. The students who want to participate in this contest can download the application and send the project from
[email protected] . The contest will start now till September 15. The top teams 1-3 win the contest will receive scholarship, Acer computer, cup of fame and certificate. For the winner will receive a trip for training to foreign. The total award is 300,000 baht. “Broadband, social network, social media and mobility devices change people consumption behavior on information. There are lots of digital content available in the cloud. The challenges are how do we make profile and protect intellectual property of those contents. Acer would like to be a digital content coordinator who can help ease these challenges. We hope that this contest will create know how and lead to application development for commerce. Apart from the contest, there will be full range of products showcases and promotions special for all students during the campaign. The 11 universities we are visiting are: Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Chandrakasem Rajabhat Universit, King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, Chulalongkorn University, University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Kasetsart University, North-Eastern University (Khonkaen), King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thammasat University (Rangsit), Burapha University and Chiang Mai University. The 1st visit will be on July 29 @ Suan Dusit Rajabhat University. Our closing ceremony activity will be soccer match between ARMY FC and Dutchie team plus concert which will be at the Army Stadium, Vibhavadee Rangsit road.” Mr. Nitipat added.
