(Center) Dr. Weerachai Weerametheekul, Minister of Science and Technology together with (Left) Dr. Suchinda Chotipanich, the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, and (right) Dr. Pichai Sonchang, Director of National Science Museum, joined the press conference to hold “National Science and Technology Fair 2010” under the concept “Towards a better society with science and technology” on the whole area of 42,000 square meter of the Exhibition and Convention Center BITEC Bangna during 7 — 22 August 2010.
The objective of the fair is to commemorate His Majesty King Mongkut as the “Father of Thai Science” and also to commemorate His Majesty King Bhumibol as the “Father of Thai Technology” and “Father of Thai innovation.” The National Science and Technology Fair 2010 is the year’s largest event to promote Thailand’s advancement in science and technology. Youth, families, and people are allowed to visit the fair without expenses.
