Bangkok--11 Aug--PC & Associates Are you ready? to meet with The National Winner Therdthanwa Kanama’s doodle“Suphannahong” on google.co.th homepage (www.google.co.th) in Mother’s Day At the award ceremony of Thailand’s first Doodle 4 Google contest, from over 46,000 doodle entries--the most in Asia--from students in more than 11,000 schools across the country and over 140,000 votes from the Thai public, Therdthanwa Kanama 's doodle ‘Suphannahong’ was chosen as the inaugural national winner. Therdthanwa’s key prize after winning the competition is to have his doodle appear on the Google Thailand homepage for 24 hours on the Queen’s birthday, August 12, 2010, to be enjoyed by millions of Google users. Google is inviting all Thais to view his doodle starting at 12 midnight two days from now on google.co.th. Therdthanwa’s doodle was chosen by Google doodler Michael Lopez to be the national winner because of its highly creative use of the gold color and the royal boat to symbolize so many Thai values--from craftsmanship to respect for tradition and prosperity. Description of “Suphannahong” in the winner’s own words: "The Supannahong royal barge has been with Thailand and its rivers for a long time. It serves His Majesty the King in various royal ceremonies. The reflection in the river emphasizes the value of the barge in terms of Thai traditional craftsmanship, culture and history.
