Photo Release: IBM and Computer Union team up with 6 universities to build skilled IT workforce

Bangkok--18 Aug--IBM IBM Thailand Company Limited and Computer Union Company Limited team up with 6 universities namely Mahanakorn University of Technology, Sripatum University, Rangsit University, University of Thai Chamber of Commerce, Huachiew Chalermprakiet University and South-East Asia University to launch AIX System Training Program in March, the third time since 2008, and hosted scholarship and certificate ceremony on Aug 5, 2010. The program aims to build skilled workforce in AIX, the Operating System (OS) running on IBM Power System, to address the rising demand of AIX experts in today market. Photo shows; Ms. Dalad Sapthavichaikul, Managing Director, Computer Union Company Limited (Third from Right), granted academic scholarship and a certificate to Mr. Kasi Rungsasri, a student from University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, who gained top score in the AIX System Training Program, along with Mr. Thongchai Watanasoponwong, Systems Sales Manager, General Business, Systems and Technology Group, IBM Thailand Company Limited (First Left), Mr. Supakit Tiyawatchalapong, General Manager, Computer Union Company Limited (First Right) and teachers from University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce.
