FACE TO FACE: PORTRAITURE IN A DIGITAL AGE an exhibition of Australian new media art

Bangkok--25 Aug--Australian Embassy How have new media and digital technologies changed the way we think about portraiture, identity and faces? What new forms of audience engagement and interaction are made possible by these new technologies? Face to Face explores new expressions of portraiture in a digital age. The exhibition features works by fourteen Australian artists who use a range of media including digital photography, video and interactive installation all of which provide a unique perspective on how digital technologies can reshape our understanding and experience of contemporary identity. Curated by Kathy Cleland of Sydney Univeristy and presented by Asialink of the University of Melbourne & d/Lux/MediaArts, Face to Face features works by 14 artists - Michele Barker & Anna Munster, Denis Beaubois, Daniel Crooks, Anna Davis & Jason Gee, Emil Goh, Angelica Mesiti, Adam Nash & Mami Yamanaka, David Rosetzky, Rachel Scott, Stelarc and John Tonkin. Face to Face will be on display from 10 September to 17 October 2010 at The Art Center, 7floor Center of Academic Resources, Chulalongkorn University.
