Bangkok--27 Aug--Thana Burin Asia Pacific
To help boost Thailand's economy and earn 40,000-50,000 million baht of revenue annually from MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Conference and Exhibition), Thailand Exhibition & Conference Forum or TEC Forum will be held on 29-30 September 2010 at Challenger Hall of IMPACT Muang Thong Thani. TEC Forum is organised by the Thai Exhibition Association (TEA) and supported by Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), a government organisation, and Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA).
Mr Pravit Sribanditmongkol, Secretary General of Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), said “Thailand Exhibition Association (TEA) is organising the event to provide opportunities for its members, who are mostly exhibition companies, exhibition and convention venue operators, booth contractors and freight forwarders and from related businesses to meet and exchange ideas, as well as to showcase their businesses through booth displays during Thailand Exhibition & Conference Forum or TEC Forum to be held from 29-30 September 2010 at Jupiter 4-13 of Challenger, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani."
Mr Pravit said “TEC Forum has received strong support from Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, and from Thailand Incentive and Convention Association. We are also delighted that members of the Thai Hotels Association and Business of the Creative and Event Management Association will also join this event. On the first-day of the event, Dr Trairong Suwankiri, Deputy Prime Minister in charge of Economics will give his speech on “Thailand Survival after the Political Crisis.”
Ms Supawan Teerarat, Director of Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau, said “TCEB is very pleased to support the TEC Forum. We are the government organisation responsible for the development and promotion of international exhibitions and conferences in Thailand. The Meeting, Incentive, Conference & Exhibition industry, or MICE, is one of the industries linked to many business and industries. Each year MICE is able to generate work as well as revenue of more than 40,000-50,000 million baht. The revenue, however, excludes indirect revenue linked to other business industries. We strongly believe that the TEC Forum will further help strengthen the exhibition and conference industries to international level.
“TEA will offer meetings and seminars to members and the public at minimal fees. Fee for TEA members is 500 baht per day and 1,000 baht per day for the general public. Topics of the meetings and seminars will be presented by well-known guest speakers and will cover Global Mice Trend Thailand Outlook, How to do CSR to meet the heart of the public, New Hope Aftermath: Thailand Positioning, 2.0 Technology, Social Media Marketing, How to be Leader! and others. With this 2-day event we expect over 3,000 visitors. Those who wish to obtain more details about TEC Forum can phone Ms Tiraya Chomphunit at 02 833 5118 or access www.thaitradeshow.com and www.totalreservation.com,” Mr Pravit concluded.
