Bangkok--27 Aug--Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding
Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding Public Company Limited announced the payment of the interim dividend from the first half of 2010 operating results (1st January — 30th June 2010) to the shareholders at 1.10 Baht per share to which equivalent 53.5 per cent of the 6-month net profit of the consolidated financial statement. The payment would be made on 20th September 2010, following a schedule of the closing date of shareholders registered book on 10th September 2010.
Mr. Noppol Milinthanggoon, the President of Ratchaburi Electricity Generating Holding PCL stated that the Company’s dividend yield which has been constantly remained hitherto is considered as prideful, whereas it is currently the 9th year that dividend will be paid to the shareholders consecutively. Ratchaburi Holding continues its development and expansion growth domestically and oversea by extending the investment in 3 core businesses comprising electricity generation, renewable energy and related businesses. Recently, the 1,878-MW Hongsa Thermal Power Plant project, of which the Company held 40 per cent stake, has successfully completed project financing arrangements totaling 94,000 million Baht. In addition to the neighboring 390-MW Xe Pian Xe Nam Noy Hydroelectric Power Plant project, Ratchaburi Holding has signed the Memorandum of Understanding on selling electricity to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT). Located in the Lao PDR, both projects are scheduled to start on the commercial operation date (COD) in 2018.
The dividend payment will be paid from the operating results including dividends received from subsidiaries and jointly-controlled entities that are both tax-exempt under the Board of Investment (BOI) promotion and non tax-exempt companies.
Consequently, individual shareholders who receive these dividends and are domiciled in Thailand or are resident in Thailand (one-time or multiple-time stay in Thailand at least 180 days of tax year) are subject to receive tax credit as follows.
1. Dividends from net income of non tax-exempt companies which the individual shareholders are entitled to receive tax credit of 0.38 Baht per share.
2. Dividends from net income of tax-exempt companies under the BOI promotion of 0.72 Baht per share which individual shareholders are not entitled to receive tax credit.
The Company would declare the record date of the shareholders for the right to receive the dividend which will be on 9th September 2010 and the closing date of the share registration book will be on 10th September 2010. The interim dividend payment is scheduled on the 20th September 2010, said Mr. Noppol.
