Much to the delight of discerning diners, Rossini’s culinary tour de force, Chef Federico Allegri, will share his love for Italy’s distinctive and varied cuisine with a new set lunch menu available Monday to Friday from September 1, 2010.
Each changing daily menu of regional Italian cuisine offers an enticing choice of antipasti from the counter, three pasta dishes, four main course and dessert options, and coffee and tea. Starting from just Baht 650*, the lunch is exceptional value and all served within the traditional ‘lunch hour’.
Chef Federico is a rare and inspired talent from Turin in Piedmont, a region known for its rich culinary heritage. The young and gifted chef has an outstanding culinary pedigree and has collaborated with Chef Marcello Trentini at his lauded restaurant Mago Rabin, and with the highly respected and innovative Chef Alfredo Russo at Dolce Stil Novo, both Michelin-starred restaurants in Turin.
The divine lunchtime menu includes homemade pasta dishes such as rigatoni ‘amatriciana’ with tomato, pancetta and red onion, cannelloni filled with spinach and ricotta cheese, and fusilli with blue crab and a sweet garlic sauce.
Chef Federico is renowned for his heavenly risottos cooked perfectly al dente. Diners can enjoy red wine risotto with Italian sausage, and risotto with seafood and orange. Other options from this exceptional menu include the main dishes braised beef cheeks with polenta taranga, succulent slow cooked pork tenderloin with peperonata, and steamed black cod with fresh corn and crispy pancetta.
Rossini’s lunchtime menu also offers a choice of sweet treats such as the intriguing warm chocolate gianduja cake with berry soup and fennel ice cream, hazelnut tart with red wine sorbet, and Moscato wine sabayon with amaretto ice cream.
