Thailand’s Commerce Ministry to launch The 7th International Logistics Fair 2010, one of the biggest and finest event on logistics in South East Asia

Bangkok--2 Sep--Department of Export Promotion The Ministry of Commerce is determined to set up the 7th Thailand International Logistics Fair 2010 (TILOG 2010) to be a prominent platform to showcase the tremendous potential of the Thai logistics industry and promote the strength of logistics networking in Southeast Asia region. The fair, to be held at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Center (BITEC), Bangkok, Thailand during October 7-11 this year, is organized by, Ministry of Commerce’s Department of Export Promotion (DEP) in cooperation with Thai National Shippers’ Council (TNSC) and Hazardous Substances Logistics Association (HASLA), and 17 supporting organizations. Mrs.Malee Chok-lumlert, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Export Promotion, revealed that the fair will be held under the theme “ASEAN LOGISTICS NETWORK >>> Gateway to The World”. TILOG 2010 is targeting more than 200 participating companies from Thailand and other countries with a total of around 400 exhibition booths covering every angle of the logistics industry, including Logistics Products, Machinery, Equipment, Logistics Services, Software and Information Technology, Education Institutes and Government State Enterprises. Apart from the products and services showcases, a number of beneficial international logistics symposiums and many other creative activities will also be set up at the same venue. The highlight activities include: ASEAN Pavilions Logistics Model Contest , ASEAN Logistics Network Exhibition, Green Logistics Contest, Business Matching, and Logistics Job Fair. TILOG 2010 is expected to be an important arena for business matching and networking among logistics service provider and users across the Southeast Asia region and beyond. “Entrepreneurs and exporters will get the opportunity to update new logistics-related products, services, techniques, and technology, while logistics users will be able to select the right products and services from the leading companies. The fair will be the meeting ground to create business networks for Thais and foreign entrepreneurs,” said Mrs.Malee.
