Panel of experts award LG for representing best practice in brand management
LG Electronics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has been awarded the accolade of being named a ‘Superbrand’ by Superbrands Thailand, the independent authority and arbiter on branding. Recognized for its personal, clear, jargon free approach, the award puts LG in the circle of an elite group of organisations that are seen to represent best practise in brand management.
The Superbrands credential represents an acknowledgement from the branding community, represented by an independent council of relevant experts, who scored a shortlist of 569 brands on factors including whether they offered consumers significant emotional and/or physical advantages over competitors. The selection process also included an extensive survey of 3,500 Thai consumers to ensure the results represented the views of both experts and consumers.

In presenting the award, Superbrands Thailand noted LG’s success in the areas of brand reputation, intelligent marketing, high levels of customer service, product innovation and value, and its straightforward approach to customers.
LG’s global efforts have also been recognized, having recently won three awards in the prestigious European Imaging and Sound Associations (EISA) 2010 Awards program. EISA awards are highly respected as its judging panels - formed from the editors of the publications within the association - base their scores on their own rigorous product testing, analysis and comparison.
LG won awards for: “European Best Value LCD-TV 2010-2011”, for its LED LCD LG 42LE5300; “European Home Theater Compact System 2010-2011” with its LG HB45E, and “European Green Mobile Phone 2010-2011” with its best-selling LG GD510 “Pop” handset. LG celebrated winning the Best Value LCD TV and Green Mobile Phone awards for the second year running.
EISA is a unique association of 50 special interest magazines from 19 countries. Each year, the editors-in-chief from all EISA member magazines meet to decide which of products analyzed in their publications during the past year deserve the coveted EISA Award.
