General Motors (Thailand) and Chevrolet Sales (Thailand) has unveiled a pilot project to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) through the “Chevrolet Colorado Mobile” program. In cooperation with the “Chai Si Mee Keow” noodle franchise, the company will provide reasonably-priced mobile noodle vending units for investment by aspiring investors or entrepreneurs.
According to Chinarat Wangpolpatanasiri, Chevrolet Sales (Thailand)’s District Fleet Sales Manager, the Colorado Mobile made its debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show in March 2010 as a mobile refreshment kiosk for a production house. Now, Chevrolet has introduced three models of mobile kiosks to serve a number of different business needs in addition to mobile kiosks. They include mobile containers (in S/M/L sizes) and mobile cooler container.
To promote the mobile kiosks and container trucks, Chevrolet has included its latest product in its “Colorado Market” festival roadshow which travels to nine provinces across Thailand to engage pickup truck fans and provide them with an opportunity to get a really close-up look at the Chevrolet Colorado and other models like Chevrolet Optra, Aveo and Captiva. To generate even greater interest, the special campaign will feature famous singers, lots of fun activities and attractive promotional offers.
“We are starting the pilot project with Chai Si noodle because it is a well known brand, at its nationwide outlet network. Together our expertise in cars and trucks, we believe the market has started to respond well to this product as proved by the booking rate as of now,” said Worasak Chanpaiboonrat, the Retailer Operator of Chevrolet Bangbuatong. “We plan to further expand the business to cover the logistics and other types of businesses.”
Panrop Kamla, President of Chai Si Mee Keow Noodle Franchise, said the project serves as an alternative for those looking for new businesses with investments as low as 299 baht per day.
The Chai Si noodle mobile kiosk project will also help Chai Si expand its businesses into new areas.
