Low fares leader Jetstar continues its support of Thai communities and needy children with its recent site visit to Wat Nicrotaram school, Chachensao.
Recently, Jetstar crew members joined children at the school and presented a special lunch, fun games and gifts for the students. Jetstar led an internal donation drive in advance of the trip and collected clothing, school supplies and cash donations for the school.
Jetstar has a longstanding history of proactively reaching out to and supporting communities where it operates throughout the region. It is an enduring tradition that delivers very tangible and sustainable results in support of the health and educational well-being of underprivileged children in Thailand.
In addition to individual staff initiatives, in 2007 Jetstar established the StarKids in partnership with World Vision, whereby passengers are encouraged to donate to World Vision projects which improve the lives of children in some of the region’s poorest communities, including in Thailand. Many Jetstar employees also donate directly through a direct Work Place Giving program.
