Bangkok--13 Sep--IR PLUS Office of The Narcotics Control Board relies on incinerator of Akkhie Prakarn to destroy big lot of 50-ton drug exhibit - type 4 (Safrole). “Vanchai Luengviriya” shared that this is the only high-temperature incinerator in Thailand that ensures no pollution to environment and all processes are controlled by governmental departments. The objective is to pursue determination of Department of Industrial Works, project owner, in eliminating industrial waste without affecting local environments. He anticipates the business growth as there are more than 500,000 tons of industrial wastes to be destroyed annually, although 20,000 tons of those are currently destroyed. Akkhie Prakarn Co., Ltd. is the operator of high-temperature incinerator of Department of Industrial Works, offering waste, garbage, and unused material elimination service, including infected wastes from hospitals. It is the subsidiary of Better World Green Plc. of BWG, operator of Waste Management One Stop Service. Vanchai Luengviriya , Managing Director, said that company is assigned by Office of The Narcotics Control Board to destroy big lot of 50-ton drug exhibit - type 4 (Safrole) by using high-temperature incinerator. The reactant of this drug is the biggest lot of reactant in Thailand to be destroyed by eco-friendly process. Specifically, air quality will not affect atmosphere level. Both foreign and Thai presses are invited to participate in drug elimination and publicize domestically and internationally. “Office of The Narcotics Control Board assign Akkhie Prakarn to destroy reactant of this big lot of drug because department is confident in elimination process, especially the most standardized and innovative air purifier. All processes are controlled by governmental departments to ensure no impact to environments. Meanwhile, this process demonstrates Thailand’s intention to destroying drug in the country to organizations worldwide. Technology to control air to atmosphere is of high standard because burning process is safe, transparent, and able to be universally accepted”. He also shared that this is the only high-temperature incinerator in Thailand due to its high cost of investment. The project requires 1,500 million Baht from Department of Industrial Works according that all burning processes need to be controlled to ensure no pollution to environments. Akkhie Prakarn Co., Ltd. is granted concession to manage the project for 20 years and option to extend contract. Key policy is to pursue government sector’s principle to eliminate industrial wastes with appropriate methods without unleashing pollution to environment. The objective is successfully achieved because Better World Green Plc. or BWG, parent company, has significant experiences in waste management business for 13 years. Company is registered in Stock Exchange of Thailand which regulates transparency and accountability, thus receiving satisfactory customer acceptance. Mr. Vanchai also shared that current customers of industrial incinerator are the factory from Japan whose main policy is to dispose industrial waste by using Zero landfill pattern, domestic industries including herbicide and insecticide, and petrochemical industry or industry that produce or create hazardous industrial wastes, and hospitals at risk of having infected wastes. The business is expected to grow significantly in the future as government sector focus more on appropriate industrial waste and infected garbage. Presently, 20,000 tons of wastes are eliminated, out of 500,000 tons annually. It is believed that appropriate waste management of those industries can drive significant growth of company Akkhie Prakarn Co., Ltd. has been granted concession for management from Department of Industrial Works in 2008. Performance of the first 2 years has experienced loss according that company and Department of Industrial Works need a lot of investment to restructure waste management process in the country, by separating types of garbage. With government policy to support regulation of managing wastes using this incinerator drive the profit since 4th quarter of 2009. This year is the first time that profit can be expected. Company forecasts revenue growth of 20-30 % and anticipate that performance will be promisingly growing.
