Three students from Eastern Asia University take top prize in competition held among Aviation Colleges in Thailand
Low fares leader Jetstar recently announced the Bangkok —based Eastern Asia University as winner of the inaugural Jetstar Explorer Program in Thailand.
The competition took place over the last month, with participating aviation colleges from all over the country.
Students from six colleges who chose to participate were asked to develop brief marketing and sales plans which they believed would help in generating more traffic among Thais on flights with Jetstar Asia to Singapore.
The submissions were ranked by an independent panel of judges from the travel and tourism industry with the judging criteria focused on the overall creativity and the practical feasibility of the proposed plans given existing market conditions.
Recently, Jetstar crew members joined the winners of the school to congratulate them on their impressive victory in this competition and to provide details of their Jetstar sponsored three day, two night trip to Singapore. Representatives of the school will also join in the trip.
The Jetstar Explorer Program was launched this year and aims to award bright and committed students the opportunity to explore the region, promoting the importance of learning and education through travel.
The Jetstar Explorer Program runs in Jetstar ports and so far winning student groups have been selected through competitions held in Taipei and Shantou in China.
