During 16 – 17 Sep, the monsoon trough lying across the Central, the East and the lower Northeast will weaken while the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South, and the Gulf of Thailand will strengthen. Isolated heavy rain is likely in the South and the East. The active low pressure over the Philippines will move to the middle South China Sea, expected to upgrade to the Tropical cyclone. During 18 - 20 Sep, This storm will move to the coast of middle Vietnam, expected to move to the upper Northeast with more rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain in upper Thailand. The rather strong wind and waves are in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand, about 2-3 meters in the Andaman Sea and above 3-5 meters in thundershower areas, 1-2 meters in the Gulf of Thailand and above 2 meters in thundershower areas. After that, the southwest monsoon will weaken and cause less rain over the upper country.
Warning
During 18 – 20 Sep, people in risky areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East, and the South should beware of heavy rains to very heavy rains and accumulated rainfall. All ship should proceed with cautions and keep away from thundershower areas while small boats should keep ashore throughout the period.
