General Situation The active monsoon trough lies across the Central, the upper South and the East into the low pressure cell over, and the strong southwest monsoon prevails across the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. Continuous rainfalls will be likely over the country with isolated heavy to very heavy rains in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South regions. People in risky areas should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash flood and water runoff.
The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters high in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore.
The category 2 tropical depression over the middle South China Sea. It tends to make landfall over middle Vietnam from 17-18 October. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain with strong winds will be forecast for the lower North, the Northeast, the Central and the East regions of Thailand.

Northeastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Chaiyaphum, Khon Kaen, Mahasarakham, Kalasin, Roi Et, Yasothon, Mukdahan,
Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Surin, Si Sa Ket, Ubon Ratchathani and Amnat Charoen.

Northeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
Central Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Chai Nat, Lop Buri, Kanchanaburi, Suphan Buri,
Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Saraburi, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Ratchaburi and Nakhon Pathom.

Eastern Part Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains
in Nakhon Nayok, Prachin Buri, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chon Buri, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.
Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.
Southern Part (East Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains
in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani,
Nakhon Si Thammarat and Phatthalung.
Minimum temperature 24-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-31 C.
ChumPhon northward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.
Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.
Surat Thani southward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Southern Part (West Coast) Very cloudy with fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains
in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang and Satun.
