General Situation The strong high-pressure system from China covers upper Thailand. Cool to cold weather and strong winds are forecast over upper Thailand, decreasing temperatures by 2-3 C in the North and decreasing temperatures by 1-2 C in the Northeast, the Central and the East. Mountaintops remain cold to very cold and frost in some place. People should keep healthy due to variable weather.
The strong northeast monsoon prevails over the Gulf and the South. The strong wind and waves are likely in the upper Gulf about 2 meters, 2-3 meters in the lower Gulf and above 3 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and small boat in the Gulf keep ashore until 24 December 2020.
The active low pressure over the lower South China Sea is expected to move to the Gulf of Thailand during 23-24 December 2020. More rain and isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely in the Chumphon, Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung and Songkhla. People in the South should beware of the severe condition that may cause flash flood.
