During 17 - 19 Sep, the weak monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast. The weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. Less rain is likely over the country. During 20 - 23 Sep, the monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast will strengthen. The southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of thailand will strengthen. More rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely over the country. The wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf will strengthen, about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand, 1-2 meters in the lower Gulf while above 2 meters in thundershowers.
The active low pressure cell over the middle South China Sea is forecast to intensify and move through to the coast of middle Vietnam during 20-21 Sep. More rain with isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely over the country
