General Situation

The strong southwest monsoon prevails the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf while the monsoon trough lie across Myanmar, the upper portions of the North and Northeast of Thailand and upper Laos into the active low-pressure cell over the upper South China Sea. Heavy to very heavy rains remains in some of the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South regions. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows.

In addition, the stronger wind forces the upper Andaman Sea 2-3 meters high and more than 3 meters in thundershowers. Meanwhile, the waves in the lower Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are about 2 meters high and more than 2 meters high in thundershowers. In the lower Gulf, the waves are 1-2 meters high and about 2 meters in thundershowers. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore from 11 to 14 July.

Northeastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains in LLoei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Mukdahan, Yasothon, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, Amnat Charoen, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Surin, Sisaket and Ubon Ratchathani.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

Variable winds 10-20 km/hr.

Central Part Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains in Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Lop Buri,

Saraburi, Sing Buri, Ang Thong, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Ratchaburi,

Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon and Nakhon Pathom.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 33-35 C.

Southwesterly winds 10-20 km/hr.

Eastern Part Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy to very heavy rains

in Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat.

Minimum temperature 23-27 C. Maximum temperature 29-33 C.

Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and offshores above 2 meters.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains

in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, and Surat thani.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 30-34 C.

Surat thani upward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.

Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters in thundershowers.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers. Heavy to very heavy rains in some places of provinces:

Ranong, Phang Nga, Phuket, Krabi and Trang.

Minimum temperature 23-25 C. Maximum temperature 28-34 C.

Phuket upwards: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters in thundershowers.

Krabi downwards: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Wave height about 2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershowers.

Metropolitan Scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy rains.

Minimum temperature 25-27 C. Maximum temperature 32-35 C.
