General Situation

The strong monsoon trough lies across the North into the low-pressure cell over the Northeast of Thailand. Meanwhile, the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. More rains are likely in the whole country. Heavy rains remains in the North, the Northeast, the Central, the East and the South (west coast) regions. People should beware of the severe conditions that may cause flash floods and overflows.

In addition, the strong wind forces the wave up to 2-4 meters high in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf and above 4 meters high in thundershowers. The waves in the lower Andaman Sea are likely 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers, the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and 2-3 meters offshore. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf keep ashore lasting 14 July.

Southwesterly winds 20-45 km/hr.

Wave height 2-4 meters and above 4 meters in thundershowers.

Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon,

Surat Thani and Nakhon Si Thammarat.

Minimum temperature 23-26 C. Maximum temperature 31-34 C.

Surat thani upward: Southwesterly winds 20-40 km/hr.

Wave height 2-3 meters and above 3 meters offshores.

Nakhon Si Thammarat downward: Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr.

Southern Part (West Coast) Fairly widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy rains

in Ranong, Phang Nga and Phuket.
