During 4 - 5 Aug, the weak monsoon trough lies across Myanmar, upper Laos and upper Vietnam into the low-pressure cell in the upper Vietnam while the moderate southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Less rains are likely in the whole country, however isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the East and the South regions.
The wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
During 6 - 9 Aug, the monsoon trough lie across the upper North and the upper Northeast into the low-pressure cell in the upper Vietnam. Meanwhile, the strengthen southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. More rains are likely in the whole country with isolated heavy to very heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South regions.
The wind waves in the upper Andaman Sea are 2 - 3 meters high and above 3 meters high in thundershowers. 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers.
During 7 - 8 Aug, the low- pressure cell in the upper South China Sea is expected to intensify to a tropical storm and will move to lower portion of China during 10 - 11 Aug.
Warning
People in Thailand should beware of severe condition that may cause flash flood and over flows throughout the period. All ships in the Andaman sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershower, small boats in the upper Andaman Sea keep ashore throughout the period.
