During 24 ? 26 Aug, the monsoon trough lies across the North and the Northeast into the low cell over upper Vietnam while the southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Isolated heavy rains are possible in the North, the Northeast, the central including Bangkok and vicinity, the East and the South (west coast). The weakening wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are 1-2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. During 27 ? 29 Aug, the monsoon trough will weaken with the southwest monsoon prevailing the Andaman Sea, Thailand will weaken. Less rain are forecast over the country.
In addition, severe tropical storm MA-ON, due east of the Philippines, is expected to move into the upper South China Sea from 23 to 24 August. It will make landfall over the east coast of southern China by 25 August without a direct effect on Thailand.

During 24 ? 26 Aug, people in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok vinicity, the East and the South (west coast) should beware of heavy rain and its accumulation.
