On 28 ? 30 Sep 2022, the high-pressure system from China extend to the upper North, the upper Northeast of Thailand and upper Laos leads to the monsoon trough move down to lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast. Typhoon NORU over the middle South China Sea is expected to make landfall over middle Vietnam by 28 September. Moving into the middle Northeast on 29 September, it will then weaken to a tropical storm and a depression, respectively. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf will strengthen. Torrential rains with widespread rainfalls are likely in the country and scattered heavy to very heavy rains with gusty winds are possible in the North, the Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. During 1 ? 3 Oct 2022, the monsoon trough lies across the lower North, the Central, the East and the Northeast. It is forecast to isolated heavy rains are possible in the country.
The strong wind and waves in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf are 2-3 meters high and above 3 meters in thundershowers while the waves in the lower Gulf are about 2 meters high and above 2 meters offshore throughout the period.
Warning
People should beware of heavy to very heavy rains and its accumulation with gust that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands throughout the period. All ships should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers. Small boats in the Andaman Sea keep ashore during 27 Sep ? 3 Oct 2022.
