During 5 ? 8 Oct 2022, the high pressure from China covers the upper North, the upper Northeast and the South China Sea with the easterly and southeasterly wind prevails Thailand and the Gulf. Meanwhile, the weak southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea and the South. Less rain is likely over the upper North and the upper Norttheast while isolated heavy rain are expected in the lower North, the lower Northeast, the Central, the East and the South. During 9 ? 10 Oct 2022, another high-pressure system from China will extend to the upper North, the upper Northeast and the South China Sea leading the monsoon trough lies across the Central, the East and the upper South. More rain and isolated heavy rain are forecast for over the country.
The wind and waves over the Andaman Sea and the Gulf are likely about 1 meter high and 1-2 meters high in thundershowers areas throughout the period.

People should beware of severe condition and its accumulation that may cause flash floods and overflows, especially along the waterways near foothills and lowlands throughout the period. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf should proceed with caution and keep off thundershowers.
