During 6 ? 8 Oct, the high-pressure system from China covers the upper North, the upper Northeast and the South China Sea leads to the easterly and the southeasterly winds prevail over Thailand and the Gulf. Less rains are likely over the upper North and the upper Northeast while isolated heavy rains are expected in the lower North, the lower Northeast, the Central including Bangkok and its vicinity, the East and the South. During 9 ? 12 Oct, another moderated high-pressure system from China will extend to upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Isolated heavy rains with gusty wind are expected in the upper country at the first period, then 1 - 3 C drop in temperature with strong wind is likely in the Northeast and slightly drop in temperature is likely in the North, the Central and the East regions. At the same time, the monsoon trough will lie across the upper South with continuous rainfalls and isolated heavy rains for the South.
