7-day Forecast For period of Feb 13, 2008 - Feb 19, 2008 Weather Forecast During 13-15 February, rather intense high pressure system from China will extend its ridge to cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea, together the southerly and southeasterly winds lies over Central and northern Thailand. Thundershowers are expected over the areas while decreasing in temperature to become colder with morning fog over upper Thailand. High wave with wave height 2-4 meters is likely in the Gulf of Thailand. During 16-17 February, high pressure system over upper Thailand and the South China Sea will weaken. Warmer weather occur the areas, but cool to cold and isolated thundershowers, the sea wave in the Gulf will weaken. During 18-19 February, another surge of high pressure system will again extend its ridge to cover northeastern Thailand and the South China Sea. Decreasing in temperature and thundershowers will occur in the areas. Wind-wave with wave height about 2 meters are likely in the lower Gulf of Thailand from Surat Thani southward. Warning During 13-15 and 18-19 February, All ship should proceed with caution while small boat in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward should keep ashore. During 16-17 February, all form of transports should take caution due to poor visibility. Northern Part Morning fog with thick patches in some places. Cool, minimum temperature 17-23 C. Cold in the mountain tops, minimum temperature 9-13 C. Isolated thundershowers mostly during 13-14 Feb,. Southerly winds 10-20 km/hr. Northeastern Part Morning light fog. During 13-15 and 18-19 Feb, windy and 1-4 C and 1-3 C drop. Cold in the upper portion, minimum temperature 10-15 C with cool elsewhere, minimum temperature 16-19 C. Cold in the mountain tops, minimum temperature 8-13 C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Central Part Morning light fog and isolated to widely scattered thundershowers mostly during 13-14 and 18-19 Feb. During 13-15 Feb, cool, minimum temperature 21-23 C. During 16-17 Feb, slight rise in temperature with thick patches in some places. Southerly winds 10-30 km/hr. Eastern Part Morning light fog and isolated to widely scattered thundershowers mostly along the mountain and the coastal areas throughout most of the period. During 13-15 Feb, cool in the upper portion, minimum temperature 21-23 C. During 16-17 Feb, slight rise in temperature with thick patches in some places. Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and offshore about 2 meters in the thundershowers. Southern Part (East Coast) Isolated to widely scattered thundershowers throughout the period. During 13-15 Feb, Easterly winds 20-45 km/hr. Wave height 2-4 meters. During 16-17 Feb, Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1- 2 meters. During 18-19 Feb, Upper Gulf from Chumphon northward; Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters. Lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward; Easterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters. Southern Part (West Coast) Isolated thundershowers throughout most of the period. Easterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and about 2 meters offshore. Metropolitan Morning light fog. During 14-15 Feb, cool, minimum temperature 22-23C. Widely scattered to scattered thundershowers and then decreasing g in rainfall. Southerly winds 15-30 km/hr.
