Daily Forecast Distribution On Mar 10, 2008 General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time The high pressure system over upper Thailand is weakening. Rise in temperature with thick patches in some places occurs in the areas. Southeasterly wind brings the humid from the Gulf to cover upper Thailand. Thundershowers are expected in those areas. Wind-wave in the lower Gulf from Nakhon Si Thammarat southwards has wave height 2-3 meters. All ships should proceed with caution during few days (10-12 March, 2008). Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Chiang Rai, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Lamphun, Phrae and Nan. Cool, minimum temperature 16 C. Maximum temperature 35 C. Cold in mountain tops. Minimum temperature 9-13 C. Southeasterly winds 10-25 km/hr. Northeastern Part Morning fog with thick patch in some places. Isolated rain mostly in Loei, Chaiyaphum and Nakhon Ratchasima. Central Part Morning mist with widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Nakhon Sawan, Chai Nat Kanchanaburi, Racha Buri, Sara Buri and Lop Buri. Minimum temperature 24 C. Maximum temperature 36 C. Southeasterly winds 10-30 km/hr. Eastern Part Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi and Trat. Minimum temperature 24 C. Maximum temperature 35 C. Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters in the thundershowers areas. Southern Part (East Coast) Scattered thundershowers mostly in Phetchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat and Songkhla. Minimum temperature 23 C. Maximum temperature 34 C. From Surat Thani northward: Southeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr with wave height 1-2 meters. From Nakhon Si Thammarat southward: Easterly wind 20-40 km/hr with wave height 2-3 meters. Southern Part (West Coast) Widely scattered thundershowers mostly in Ranong, Phangnga, Phuket and Satun. Minimum temperature 23 C. Maximum temperature 34 C. Easterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters offshore. Metropolitan Morning mist with widely scattered thundershowers.
