Daily Forecast Distribution On Aug 7, 2008 General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time A trough of low pressure lies across northern and upper northeastern Thailand through tropical storm “KAMMURI” located over the coastal of southern China. At 04.00 a.m. today, the storm with sustained wind of about 75 km/hr was centred at latitude 21.4 N, longitude 109.5 E , moving northwest at a speed of 20 km/hr. Heavy falls in many places is expected in eastern part of northern and upper northeastern Thailand. People in the risky areas such as Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Phetchabun, Nong Khai, Sakon Nakhon, Udon Thani and Nakhon Phanom provinces should beware of flooding conditions. Besides, the prevailing southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea will intensify and cause high wave above 2 meters.
