Warning "Heavy Rain and Flooding" No. 6 (311/2551) Time Issued : August 13, 2008 The trough of active low remains across northern and upper northeastern Thailand through the active low cell over upper Laos. The succession of abundant rain over upper Thailand is likely with isolated heavy to very heavy rain. People in the risky areas especially of Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan and Phetchabun provinces should beware of flooding conditions in a few days. Due to the high current level of the Mae Khong River and other basins, people in the lowland and along the rivers such as Chiang Rai, Loei, Nong Khai, Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan provinces are aware of preparedness from flooding during this period.
