7-day Forecast For period of Sep 12, 2008 - Sep 18, 2008 Weather Forecast During 12-13 September, the trough of active low lies across the lower North, the upper Central and the Northeast and the active low pressure over the joint of the areas will move to Myanmar then. These cause abundant rain and heavy falls in many places mostly in the North and the Central. During 14-18 September, the trough will move across the North and the Northeast and abundant rain remains in the upper country together with isolated heavy falls. During 12-15 September, the southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf will intensify causing high wave above 2 meters especially in thundershower areas. The monsoon will then weaken during 16-18 September. Travelers are advised to check weather forecast before departure for Hainan due to Typhoon “Sinlaku”.Warning People in the risky areas of the North, the Northeast, the Central and the East should beware of torrential rain and flooding conditions. The areas include Mae Hong Son, Tak, Chiang Mai, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Phetchabun, Kamphaengphet, Sukhothai, Phichit, Nakhon Sawan, Uthai Thani, Kanchanaburi, Sara Buri, Lop Buri, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buri Ram, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chanthaburi and Trat. All ships should proceed with caution especially in thundershower areas during 12-15 September. Northern Part During 12-16 September, fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy falls in many places. During 17-18 September, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy falls. Variable wind 10-25 km/hr. Northeastern Part During 12-16 September, fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy falls in many places. During 17-18 September, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy falls mainly in the upper part. Variable wind 10-30 km/hr. Central Part During 12-14 September, fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy falls in many places. Variable wind 10-25 km/hr. During 15-18 September, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy falls mainly in the western part. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Eastern Part On the date of 12 and during 17-18 September, fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy falls in many places. During 13-15 September, scattered thundershowers mainly along mountainous and coastal areas. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. During 12-15 September wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas, then lower than usual. Southern Part (East Coast) During 12-14 September, scattered thundershower and isolated heavy falls mainly in the upper part. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas. During 15-18 September, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers. Wave height 1-2 meters. Southern Part (West Coast) During 12-14 September, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy falls mainly in the upper part. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas. During 15-18 September, scattered to widespread thundershowers and isolated heavy falls. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
