7-day Forecast For period of Sep 15, 2008 - Sep 21, 2008 Weather Forecast During 15-17 September, an rather active trough of low pressure over the North and the upper Northeast while the nearly strong southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand and the Gulf. These cause abundant rain and heavy to very heavy rains in many places especially over the North and the Northeast. Wave height about 2 meters in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf mostly in the thundershowers areas. During 18-21 September, a trough of low pressure and the monsoon will be weakening. The amount of rainfall will decrease over the country. Wind and wave in the sea will also weaken. Warning During 15-17 September, people in the risky areas of the North, Northeast and East should beware of flooding conditions. These areas such as Chiang Rai, Phayao, Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Tak, Sukhothai, Phitsanulok, Phetchabun, Loei, Nong Bua Lamphu, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Maha Sarakham, Mukdahan, Kalasin, Nakhon Ratchasima, Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, Nakhon Nayok, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao and Sa Kaeo provinces while all ships should proceed with caution this period. Northern Part Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers throughout of the period. Isolated heavy to very heavy rain mostly during 15-17 September. Variable wind 10-25 km/hr. Northeastern Part During 15-17 September, fairly widespread thundershowers and heavy to very heavy falls in many places. During 18-21 September, scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain. Variable wind 10-30 km/hr. Central Part During 15-17 September, scattered thundershowers and isolated heavy falls mostly in the upper portion. During 18-21 September, widely scattered to scattered thundershowers. Southwesterly winds 15-30 km/hr. Eastern Part During 15-17 September, scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers with isolated heavy rain mostly along mountainous and coastal areas. Southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height about 2 meters especially in the thundershowers areas. During 18-21 September, scattered thundershowers. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters. Southern Part (East Coast) Widely scattered to scattered thundershower throughout of the period. During 15-17 September, southwesterly winds 20-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and about 2 meters off-shore. During 18-21 September, southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height about 1 meter and 1-2 meters off-shore. Southern Part (West Coast) During 15-17 September, Widely scattered thundershowers. During 18-21 September, scattered thundershowers. Southwesterly winds 15-35 km/hr. Wave height 1-2 meters and above 2 meters in thundershower areas. Metropolitan Scattered to fairly widespread thundershowers throughout of the period.
