Weather Forecast During 5-7 Jan, 2009, the high pressure system over upper Thailand will weaken. Slightly increasing in temperature with thick patches in some places especially in the North. Widely to scattered showers is likely in the lower South. After that during 8-11 Jan, 2009, another surge of intense high pressure system from China will extended its ridge to cover upper Thailand again. Colder weather with 2-4oC drops and windy are expected over the country. Scattered thundershowers with isolated heavy rain are likely in the lower South and strong wind and wave in the Gulf. Increasing rainfall in the lower South is likely and strength wind-wave in the lower Gulf. Warning During Jan 9-11. All ships in the Gulf should proceed with caution and small boat from Surat Thani southward should keep ashore
Northern Part During 5-7 Jan 2009, 2-3oC rise with thick patches in some places. Cold in the upper portion and cool elsewhere, minimum temperature 14-19oC. Cold to very cold in the high mountain, minimum temperature 5-9 ?C. After that during 8-11 Jan, 2009, morning fog and 2-3 oC drop. Cold with minimum temperature 12-17oC. Very cold in the high mountain, minimum temperature 4-8 ?C. Variable winds 10-30 km/hr.
