Cool to cold weather are expected over upper Thailand with morning fog, and thick patches in some places in the North. Widely scattered to scattered thundershowers and wave height 2-3 meters are likely the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward.
After that during 28 Jan — 1 Feb, 2009 this high pressure system over upper Thailand will weaken. 1-4 oC rise with thick patches in many places over the country. Decreasing in rainfall occur in the South. Wind and wave in the Gulf will weaken.
Warning During 26-27 Jan, all ships in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward should proceed with caution. During 28 Jan — 1 Feb, 2009, all forms of transport should beware of accident due to poor visibility.
Northern Part During 26-27 Jan, morning fog and thick patches in some places. Cold in the upper portion, minimum temperature 13-15 oC. and cool elsewhere, minimum temperature 16-21 oC. Cold to very cold in the high mountain, minimum temperature 6-10?C. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr. During 28 Jan — 1 Feb, thick patches in many places and cool, minimum temperature 16-22?C. Light wind 6-12 km/hr.
Northeastern Part During 26-27 Jan, cold in the upper portion, minimum temperature 13-15 oC and cool elsewhere, minimum temperature 16-19 oC. Cold to very cold in the high mountain, minimum temperature 7-12?C. Northeasterly winds 15-35 km/hr.
After that during 28 Jan — 1 Feb, 1-4?C rise with thick patches in many places. Easterly winds 10-30 km/hr.
