General Situation at 04:00 AM local Time A low pressure trough lies across northern and upper northeastern Thailand. The rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand. There are remain torrential rain and heavy falls over the country in this period. People should beware of flash flood during 29-31 May 2009. Risky areas include Chiang Rai, Phayao, Sukhothai, Phetchabun, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phetchaburi, Ranong, Chumphon and Phangnga. Besides, rather strong wind-waves in the Andaman Sea are likely and all ships should proceed with caution.
