"Tropical storm CHANTHU"No. 7 (66/2553) Time Issued : July 23, 2010
At 04.00 a.m. today, tropical storm “CHANTHU” over the south of Guangxi, China was centered at latitude 22.5 degree North and longitude 108.5 degree East with maximum sustained wind 75 km/hr. This storm is moving northwest at about 15 km/hr and become to be tropical depression in the next period. While the Southwest monsoon over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is intensifying. More rainfall and isolated heavy rain are likely over Thailand. People in the North, the Northeast and the East along foothills and near waterways are warned of flash flood and all ship in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution during 23-25 July 2010.
