"Heavy rain and strong wind-wave"No. 1 Time Issued : August 06, 2010
The active monsoon trough over Northern and upper Northeastern Thailand and rather strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf. Abundant rainfall and isolated heavy to very heavy falls are likely over the country. People in the risky areas in Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Phayao, Lampang, Lamphun, Phare, Uttraradit, Loei, Nong Khai and Nakhon Phanom are warned of flash flood and flood during the period. Strengthen wind and wave in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf, all ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boats keep ashore during 6-8 Aug 2010.
During 7-8 Aug 2010, the monsoon trough will shift to Central and Eastern Thailand. Increasing in rainfall and isolated heavy rain are expected over the area.
