On Thursday June 28, 2012, BarSu and Wine Dee Dee invite you to chill-out in style as elegant bartenders uncork a selection of notable Sensi wines from Italy. Each exceptional vintage will be complemented by delicious gourmet bites from BarSu’s open kitchen.
The Sensi winemaking legacy began in 1890 at Lamporecchio, a small village in the Montalcino Hills of Tuscany, close to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. Today the winery has a well deserved reputation for creating innovative premium quality wines that have garnered numerous awards.
Guests at BarSu will be welcomed with a glass of sparkling Prosecco Frizzante and enticing antipasto. The chilled bubbly with be followed by Sensi, Orvieto Doc 2010, a fragrant white wine produced with four indigenous Italian grape varities, Trebbiano, Verdello, Lanaiolo Bianco and Malvasia grapes, and will accompanied by slow cooked egg with wild mushrooms.
The second white wine of the evening will be the Collezione Pinot Grigio 2010, a Decanter Magazine ‘Silver Award Winner’ noted for its vibrant fruit and floral nose and a sweet citrus finish. The refreshing wine will be perfectly paired with the exquisite paccheri pasta filled with ricotta cheese and seafood sauce. Wine lovers will also enjoy a young yet full bodied Sensi Cupido Toscana Sangiovese 2010 served with succulent wild salmon with corn cream and cappers, and a mature Sensi Chianti Riserva 2008 with melt-in-the-mouth braised veal check with green pepper. The evening of elegant wines and gourmet temptations will end with Bizzarro Manzoni Moscato Spumante, a delicate blush-pink Ros? wine with the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity to complement a milk risotto with cherry sorbet.
