An event aiming at bringing a revolution in the Thai tech ecosystem through the best practices of three globally renowned universities
Ananda Development Public Company Limited and Council of University Presidents of Thailand (CUPT) are partnering to organize "How Cambridge Berkeley Stanford do Tech Transfer" for the first time in Thailand. Top representatives of these three prestigious universities which are University of Cambridge, University of California, Berkeley, and Stanford University will share their best practices in intellectual property and technology transfer with Thai university leaders and students. Through these diverse success stories, the objective of this event is to help advance the development of a successful innovation and tech culture in Thailand, from universities to businesses and also to the whole of society.
Silicon Valley and Silicon Fen are the world's leading technology and innovation clusters and these and other successful clusters invariably have a university at their heart. Thailand's mission to advance to improve the productivity and well-being of its people through its Thailand 4.0 program will require a world class technology transfer system that will depend on the successful interaction between Thai universities and Thai business and society.
"From my international experience, and in Cambridge in particular, I've worked with many universities and I've noticed each of them has put together its own technology transfer scheme," said Dr. John Leslie Millar, Ananda's Chief Strategic Development Officer. "That is why Ananda Development has decided to organize "How Cambridge Berkeley Stanford do Tech Transfer" Thai universities will discover the best practices from three top international universities. From them, they will be able to invent their own path towards technology development in the country. At the event, three of the very best universities in the world will share their experience with the Thai university sector. From these best practices and exchanges, Thai universities will be able to assess their current situation, initiate appropriate technology transfer programs, and, in the end, change the innovation culture, not only inside their premises but also within their whole ecosystem.
