TC Subaru surprises Thai XV fans, unveiling the exclusive accessory kit 'Subaru XV GT Edition Prototype’ at the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show

Bangkok--26 Mar--4D Communications TC Subaru, distributor of Subaru cars in Thailand, showcased a specially commissioned accessory kit 'Subaru XV GT Edition Prototype' to the public for the first time in Asia at the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show, Challenger Hall, Impact Muang Thong Thani from March 27 to April 7. The new Subaru XV GT Edition Prototype is the product of a collaboration between the Motor Image Group, the distributor of Subaru cars in 10 Asian markets; renowned engineering company Giken Co Ltd.; and Subaru's former leading Chief Designer, Mr Masahiko "Jack" Kobayashi. Mr. Glenn Tan, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Tan Chong International Ltd, said: "I am happy to bring Giken and Kobayashi-san together in this first project because we share a common interest in good design and creating fun and exciting products. Kobayashi-san spent 25 years at Subaru Corporation and boasts a wealth of experience, while Giken is an established industry leader in the design and manufacturing of technological and material handling systems. The Subaru XV GT Edition accessory kit comprises four well-made and perfectly-integrated elements: 1. Front bumper lip extension with integrated canards 2. Side skirts 3. Roof spoiler 4. Rear bumper extension, and a special alloy wheel set exclusively for Thailand! The Subaru XV GT Edition accessory kit will be available for booking in Thailand from the Motor Show, with first delivery expected in June. It also boasts its own seat-leather design inspired by the cabins of high-performance grand tourers from Germany and Britain. Completing the equipment package of the Subaru XV GT Edition is a dual side-view monitor system, which enables drivers to park and manoeuvre with ease. Fans in Thailand can view the prototype Subaru XV GT Edition at the 40th Bangkok International Motor Show 2019 from March 27 to April 7, before it travels to the Philippines next month. Thailand will be the first country in Asia to take bookings for the car. Motor Image will work with Giken and Mr Kobayashi to expand the design development of special edition accessory kits for other Subaru models, including the WRX, WRX STI, Levorg and Forester in the future.
