SCG takes another step towards “Circular Economy”, partners with DITP and 3 Top Fashion Brands, launching “Bag to the Future” project Turning “Unused Cement Bags” into Limited-Edition Bags

Bangkok--24 Apr--Verve Public Relations Consultancy SCG, the building-material innovation leader, led by Ms. Porawan Mahatanasuk, Customer and Brand Management Director at SCG Cement – Building Materials Company Limited took another step towards the Circular Economy concept that inspired SCG Circular Way that focused on maximizing the efficiency of resources in use and minimizing the use of new resources. Recently, the company launched "Bag to the Future" project, in collaboration with the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) and three of Thailand's leading fashion brands namely ISSUE, KLOSET & ETCETERA, and URFACE. The project aims to encourage and create public awareness though creating limited-edition bags from unused cement bags. Each fashion brand produces just 100 pieces for its limited edition, which will be retailed at select outlets of ISSUE, KLOSET & ETCETERA and URFACE from May 1 onwards. The price ranges from Bt1,880 and Bt3,590 apiece. Proceeds after expenses of the Bag to the Future project will go to the 'Habitat for Humanity Foundation' or the cause of improving Thais' quality of life via habitat and community development, which will create better changes in the society #SCGCIRCULARWAY #BAGTOTHEFUTURE
