MFC launches MPII fund investing in both Thai and foreign securities in property and/or infrastructure sector, dividend units class IPO 17-26 June 2019

Bangkok--18 Jun--MFC MFC launches MFC Property and Infrastructure Flexible Income Fund or MPII investing in both Thai and foreign securities in property and/or infrastructure sector. The Fund will pay dividend no more than 4 times per year. The dividend units class IPO is during 17-26 June 2019. Mr. Dennis Lim, President, MFC Asset Management Public Company Limited, said that Global economic slowdown and US-China trade war cause central bank to have accommodative monetary policy. This supports the investment in securities with relative high yield with relatively low volatility such as REITs and Infra Funds. MFC launchs the MFC Property and Infrastructure Flexible Income Fund or MPII, Mixed fund type with dividend policy no more than 4 times per year, invests in both Thai and foreign securities in property and/or infrastructure sector and securities on average no less than 80% of NAV in any accounting period. MPII is actively managed by selecting securities with good fundamentals and/or continuous potential for growth and the portfolio will be rebalanced to suit market conditions. (This Fund is concentrated in property and/or infrastructure sector, there is risk that the investor may lose a large amount of money). MPII may invest in the following securities with a foreign investment limit of no more than 79% of NAV: 1.Property Funds and/or REITs and/or Foreign REITs and/or property fund securities and/or Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) that invest in property fund and/or others that have main objective to invest in property or property development, both Thai and foreign. 2. Infrastructure Funds and/or Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) that invest in infrastructure funds and/or others that have main objective to invest in infrastructure funds. 3. Equities in property sector or in sector that is similar to property and/or infrastructure sectors, including financial instruments or contracts with rights to obtain the stocks or provide return linked to stocks/groups of stocks. MPII may invest in derivatives for efficient portfolio management and for foreign currency hedging at discretion of fund manager. MPII is suitable for investors who expect higher returns than fixed income instruments, can accept fund volatility that will be a higher or lower return and are able to invest for medium and long term period and wish to diversify investments into property and/or infrastructure securities. The Fund does not fully hedge against exchange rate risk, investors may lose or gain from exchange rate fluctuation or receive a return less than their initial investment.
