KBTG holds TechJam 2019 contest To find tech and design gurus

Bangkok--17 Oct--Kasikornbank KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG) is going to hold the TechJam 2019 contest under the "Deep Jam" concept to find the strongest teams who are equipped with insights about technology and designs in three areas – coding, data and design, and the winners may become a part of KBTG to drive Thailand towards the digital age. The company expects to see 1,500 participants in the competition. Mr. Ruangroj Poonpol, Chairman of KASIKORN Business-Technology Group (KBTG), revealed that after TechJam contest received overwhelmed response for the past two years, TechJam 2019 by KBTG will again serve as a venue for seeking tech and design gurus in Thailand while also promoting exchange of expertise in three areas, i.e., coding, data science and design. These are instrumental in creating technology of the future in order to drive Thailand towards the digital transformation era. TechJam 2019 by KBTG is organized under the "Deep Jam" concept to provide a platform to find the strongest teams in three areas – Deep Code, Deep Data and Deep Design – who are equipped with insights and true understanding to beat complex questions and become a part of the team to drive Thailand towards the digital age. The quest is in line with KBTG's vision to form a strong team and incubate talent, while building a creative corporate culture together with innovation, to become the No. 1 IT Company in Southeast Asia by 2022. The competition is divided into three categories: 1. "Deep Code" is the search for the best in programming or individuals who are undaunted by complex questions, with a strong passion for code writing and the ability to apply it in practical use; 2. "Deep Data" is meant to find the brightest minds in data science who love to study big data and data analytics, simulate, test and research various models, as data is integral to every type of business today and in the future; 3. "Deep Design" challenges developers to showcase their ultimate skill in UX/UI Design for those who envision solutions through identifying and solving problems with creative ideas and presenting a valuable work piece with an interesting story behind the concept. Applicants for TechJam 2019 by KBTG must be at least 15 years old. The general public of any educational background or job experience are welcome to apply for the contest individually or in groups of two persons. They may choose to compete in only one of the three tracks. Applications for the first round must be made online at www.techjam.tech from October 18 to November 11, 2019. Applications to compete in the Deep Code track will be open on November 5, 2019. Contestants qualifying for the first round will be announced on November 20, 2019 via FB Page: KBTG Live https://www.facebook.com/KBTGlive/. The final round will be held on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, 2019, at KBTG Building, Chaeng Watthana, and the winning team for each track will be awarded a technology and design trip to Silicon Valley, US.
