Bangkok--18 Nov--RS "Hia Hor" announces RS's vision for 2020 that it will push its MPC business forward with data-driven strategy, organization restructuring, and partnerships to expand its customer base through digital TV platforms which reach more than 40 million viewers a day. The company will also move forward with other digital platforms to grow significantly in the coming year and reach yet another new high in the company's history. Surachai Chetchotisak, CEO of RS Public Company Limited, said that in 2020, the company's vision is to continue growing its Multi-platform Commerce (MPC) business and restructuring its organization in the biggest rejig in the company's four decades to generate a new s-curve growth and to become a data-driven company using AI and data analytics to add efficiency and productivity, while also branching out to new businesses in the future. The company's MPC business is a new business model under the concept of "Limitless Business" which has made RS emerge as the leader of MPC and achieve major growth amidst the slow economy and low advertising. The company has successfully expanded its customer database. In the first nine months of 2019, the MPC business generated 1.55 billion baht, and in Q3, the revenue rose to 887 million baht, with a 92 million baht profit. Q4 also seems optimistic as it is the festive season and there will be big campaigns to drive sales in partnership with other TV channels. "Our business model and our strong ties with great partner from various industries, such as the BTS Group, VGI, Workpoint TV, and Thairath TV, serve as a springboard for RS to grow significantly and rapidly with a new s-curve growth. The year 2020 is a great opportunity for us to enter the second phase and maintain our leading position. We are confident that the new s-curve will not only bring sustainable growth in the next five years but also help us expand our MPC business. Thanks to our strength in entertainment and creative content, we will be able to reach the ultimate new high in the company's history, supported by our data-driven strategy thanks to our extensive customer database," Surachai said. In 2020, RS will focus on its data-driven strategy to manage its database for further growth, using AI, data analytic, and business intelligence tools to analyze customer needs in every dimension. Currently, the company's database has about 1.3 million users. Through partnerships with other digital TV channels, currently Thairath TV and Workpoint TV, as well as another channel which will be announced later this year, together with the company's own Channel 8, it is able to reach 40 million viewers a day. The main target is those from 35 years old and up. The company has also partnered with the BTS Group in order to access urbanites, more than 10 million people a day, most of which have high purchasing power and are 25 years old or more. The company also sells its products through 500 telesales people who are ready to assist customers 24 hours a day. These are RS's main strengths. Additionally, in 2020, RS will also expand to other digital platforms under the name RS Mall to dive deeper into online retail. It will also introduce Line @ to reach more than 10 million users in Thailand. RS Mall official page has been introduced as a platform for its products and services. "We will also restructure our organization and drive new culture to move our business forward with data. We expect that the company will grow significantly in 2020 and achieve our goal of reaching 10 billion baht revenue in 2023 as per our vision," Surachai remarked.
