During 17-18 Dec, the strong high pressure area from China remains cover upper Thailand and the South China Sea. Colder conditions with strong winds are forecast for upper Thailand. Temperature will slight drop in the upper Thailand. The strong northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf of Thailand, the South, and the Andaman Sea. Isolated heavy rain are likely over the South. Rough sea in the Gulf gets 2-3 meters and the Andaman Sea is expected about 2 meters high of waves. During 19-23 Dec, the high pressure area will weaken with increasing temperature by 2-4 C. Morning cool with fog and dense fog in some place are expected for the upper country. The northeast monsoon will weaken and cause less rain over the South. The wind and waves over the Gulf are forecast about 2 meters.
Warning
During 17-18 Dec, people over upper Thailand should keep healthy due to cold weather. People in the South should beware of the severe weather conditions that cause a possible flash flood. All ships in the Gulf of Thailand should proceed with caution and small boat keep ashore. During 19-23 Dec, all vehicles in the upper country should beware of poor visibility.
