During 18 - 20 Jul 2019, the strong southwest monsoon prevails over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand. More rain will be likely over the lower Central, the East and the South with isolated heavy to very heavy rain. The strong wind waves 2-3 meters high in the Andaman Sea, above 3 meters in thundershower areas and about 2 meters over upper Gulf of Thailand. During 21 - 24 Jul 2019, the monsoon trough lies across the North and the upper Northeast cause more rain in the areas. While the southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, the South and the Gulf of Thailand will weaken and cause less rain over the East and the South but still isolated heavy rain in the South. The moderated wind and waves in the Andaman Sea is likely about 2 meters high and above 2 meters high in thundershower areas.
Tropical storm “DANAS” over the Pacific ocean or the east of Taiwan is expected move pass the South Korea, during 21-22 July.
Warning
During 18 - 20 Jul 2019, people in the East and the South should beware heavy rain. All ships in the Andaman Sea and the upper Gulf should proceed with caution, keep away from thundershower areas and small boats in the Andaman Sea should keep ashore until 21 July 2019.
