General Situation The strong high-pressure system from China covers Thailand. Cool to cold and strong wind is likely over upper Thailand, a decrease in temperatures is expected by 1-3 C. Cold to very cold in the North and Northeast has the minimum temperatures ranging 6-15 C.
The mountaintops are very cold with frost in some areas and the minimum temperatures in range of 4-8 C. In the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East region, it is forecast to have cool to cold weather with the minimum temperatures ranging 12-19 degrees Celsius. People should keep healthy and beware of fire due to the changeable and dry weather.
The stronger northeast monsoon prevails across the Gulf the South. The strong wind rises the waves up to 2-3 meters high in the upper Gulf from Chumphon northward and 2-4 meters high in the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward. People along the eastern coastline of the South should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats around the Gulf keep ashore.
