General Situation The strong high-pressure over Thailand causes cool to cold and strong winds over the upper country with a continuous decrease in temperatures in range of 1-2 C in the North. Cold to very cold in the North and Northeast has the minimum temperatures ranging 5-15 C. The mountaintops are very cold with frost in some areas and the minimum temperatures in range of 1-8 C. In the Central region including Bangkok and its vicinity, and the East region, it is forecast to have cool to cold weather with the minimum temperatures ranging 12-22 degrees Celsius. People keep healthy and beware of fire due to the changeable and dry weather.
The stronger northeast monsoon across the Gulf the South causes the strong wind rising the waves up to 2 meters from Chumphon northward, 2-3 meters high of the lower Gulf from Surat Thani southward and above 3 meters in thundershowers area. People along the eastern coastline of the South should beware of inshore surges. All ships should proceed with caution, and small boats around the Gulf keep ashore.
