บริษัท อีริคสัน (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ร่วมกับ เขตอุตสาหกรรมซอฟท์แวร์ประเทศไทย ได้ร่วมมือกัน จัดตั้ง ศูนย์อบรมเทคโนโลยีสื่อสารไร้สาย (Mobility Education Center) ขึ้นเพื่อเสนอหลักสูตรการอบรมพัฒนาโปรแกรมเทคโนโลยีทางด้าน Mobile Internet ของอีริคสัน ให้กับนักพัฒนาโปรแกรม และบุคคลทั่วไปที่สนใจ ที่จะศึกษาเรียนรู้เพื่อนำไปใช้พัฒนา Applications และบริการต่อไปในอนาคต
ศูนย์อบรมเทคโนโลยีสื่อสารไร้สาย (Mobility Education Center) จะเป็นแหล่งที่นักพัฒนา Contents และ Applications สามารถที่จะมาศึกษาหาความรู้เกี่ยวกับเทคโนโลยี Mobile Internet ของอีริคสันได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ และนำไปใช้พัฒนา Applications และบริการได้ต่อไป
ศูนย์อบรมเทคโนโลยีสื่อสารไร้สาย (Mobility Education Center) แห่งนี้เกิดขึ้นได้เนื่องมาจากการให้ความร่วมมือและสนับสนุนเป็นอย่างดีของ เขตอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์ประเทศไทย ซึ่งเป็นหน่วยงานของรัฐบาลที่มีชื่อเสียงและเข้มแข็งในเรื่องของอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์รวมทั้งการให้การศึกษาทางด้านเทคโนโลยีซอฟต์แวร์ต่างๆ ร่วมกับ บริษัท อีริคสัน (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด ซึ่งเป็นผู้นำทางด้านเทคโนโลยี Mobile Internet
วัตถุประสงค์ในการจัดตั้งศูนย์อบรม
- เพื่อเผยแพร่เทคโนโลยี Mobile Internet ของ อีริคสัน สู่ตลาด
- เพื่อเสริมสร้างความรู้และศักยภาพ เพื่อรองรับตลาดในอุตสาหกรรมซอฟต์แวร์
- เพื่อแนะนำเทคโนโลยีมาตรฐานระดับโลกสู่ตลาดไทยจากการริเริ่มโดย อีริคสัน

หลักสูตรการอบรมที่เปิดสอน
อีริคสันมีหลักสูตรการอบรม 7 หลักสูตรที่เปิดสอนดังนี้
1. Enhanced Messaging System (EMS)
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมเกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐาน และองค์ประกอบหลักของ Enhanced Messaging Service หรือ EMS ตลอดจนการให้บริการ และสามารถพัฒนา EMS Application สำหรับใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ หรืออุปกรณ์อื่นๆ ที่รองรับ EMS เมื่อจบหลักสูตรผู้ที่เข้าอบรมจะสามารถพัฒนา Applications และ Web Applications เพื่อที่จะส่ง Enhanced Message ไปยังระบบโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ หรืออุปกรณ์อื่นๆ ที่รองรับ EMS ได้
2. Multimedia Messaging System (MMS)
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมเกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐาน และองค์ประกอบหลักที่ช่วยให้สามารถให้บริการ Multimedia Messaging Service หรือ MMS ตลอดจนเข้าใจและสามารถพัฒนา MMS Application สำหรับใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ หรืออุปกรณ์อื่นๆ ที่รองรับ Multimedia Message
เมื่อจบหลักสูตรผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมจะสามารถพัฒนา Applications และ Web Applications เพื่อที่จะส่ง Multimedia Message ไปยังระบบโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ หรืออุปกรณ์อื่นๆ ที่รองรับ MMS ได้
3. Push Application Development
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมเกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐาน และองค์ประกอบหลักที่ช่วยให้สามารถให้บริการ Push Studio Services ตลอดจนเข้าใจและสามารถพัฒนา Push Applications สำหรับใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ เมื่อจบหลักสูตรผู้เข้าเรียนจะสามารถพัฒนา Applications และ Web Applications เพื่อที่จะส่ง Short Message ไปยังระบบโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ GSM ทุกประเภทได้
4. Location Based Services (LBS)
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมเกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐาน และองค์ประกอบหลักที่ช่วยให้สามารถให้บริการ Location Based Services หรือ LBS ตลอดจนเข้าใจและสามารถพัฒนา Applications สำหรับใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่โดยใช้ APIs, Software Development Kit และโปรแกรมจำลองการทำงานของระบบหาตำแหน่งโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ เมื่อจบหลักสูตรผู้เข้าเรียนจะสามารถพัฒนา LBS Applications เพื่อใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่ได้
5. WAP Application Development
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรม เกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐานในการพัฒนา WAP Application เมื่อจบหลักสูตรผู้เข้าเรียนจะสามารถเริ่มต้นพัฒนา Applications เพื่อใช้งานบนโทรศัพท์เคลื่อนที่โดยใช้ Wireless Markup Language (WML) ได้
6. GPRS Application Development
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรมเกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐาน และองค์ประกอบหลักในการให้บริการ GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) ตลอดจนผลกระทบและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของ Mobile Internet Services ที่เกิดจาก GPRS ประเด็นที่ต้องพิจารณาในการพัฒนา GPRS Application และ โปรแกรม GATE (GPRS Application Test Environment) ซึ่งเป็นโปรแกรมจำลองการทำงานบนระบบ GPRS สำหรับทดสอบ Application ที่ถูกพัฒนาขึ้นสำหรับ GPRS
7. Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA)
จุดประสงค์ของหลักสูตรเพื่อให้ผู้ที่เข้ารับการอบรม เกิดความเข้าใจพื้นฐานเกี่ยวกับระบบโทรศัพท์ในยุค 3G, WCDMA และ UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) ตลอดจนผลกระทบและการเปลี่ยนแปลงของ Mobile Internet Services ในยุค 3G

Ericsson (Thailand) Limited is establishing the Mobility Education Center in co-operation with Software Park Thailand is to give training courses on Ericsson Mobile Internet Technologies to content and application developers and public who are interested in learning and developing Mobile Internet applications and services.
Ericsson Mobility Education Center is the place where content and application developers can find and obtain mobile internet knowledge efficiently and effectively by the collaboration and contribution between Software Park Thailand, the government organization that is very strong and well-known in software industry as well as education and Ericsson (Thailand) Limited, the leader in mobile internet technologies.
Objectives to establish Mobility Education Center:
- Expand Ericsson Mobile Internet Technology to public
- Build up competence to Thai market in software industry
- Introduce world-class standard technologies through Ericsson initiative to Thai market

Training courses to deliver to public:
Ericsson has seven training courses to deliver to public as follows:
- Enhanced Messaging System (EMS)
The purpose of this course is to give a basic understanding what are the EMS and main component enable the EMS service and how to develop EMS application and submit to mobile phones.
On completion of the course the students will be able to create the program or web applications to submit the Enhanced Messaging to the EMS enable terminal.
- Multimedia Messaging System (MMS)
The purpose of this course is to give a basic understanding about the MMS, know how to develop MMS application and submit to mobile phones.
On completion of the course the students will be able to create the program and web applications to submit the Multimedia Messages to the MMS enable terminal.
- Push Application Development
The purpose of this course is to give a basic understanding about Push Technology through SMS, WAP and Web, what are the main components enable the Push service and how to develop the application to submit the contents to mobile phones.
On completion of the course the students will be able to create the program or web applications to submit the short messages to all GSM mobile phones.
- Location Based Service (LBS)
The course will give basic knowledge of Location Based Service and how to develop LBS application using LBS APIs, SDK and MPS (Mobile Positioning System) emulator software.
- WAP Application Development
The purpose of this course is to give a basic understanding on how to develop WAP applications using WML (Wireless Markup Language) programming.
The course will provide the students with the competence to construct and start a WAP application program and develop a system using WML.
- GPRS Application Development
The course will give basic knowledge of GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) on what are the main components enable the GPRS service and what are the impacts on wireless application that can be impacted as well as what are the issues needed to look for when develop GPRS application. Also what is the GATE (GPRS Application Test Environment) tool and its benefits.
- Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA)
This will give basic knowledge of 3G WCDMA / UMTS (Universal Mobile Telecommunications System) on why the 3G will change the mobile internet services in the future.
