Virachai Ratanabanchuen, Executive Vice President, Charoen Pokphand Foods PCL (CPF) as the president of energy saving board, agro-industry group, has revealed that CPF has continual given important to energy saving by setting up a committee and gathering previous works as pilot projects to expanding in various projects. Currently, CPF achieves two outstanding awards in Thailand Energy Award 2008 from Ministry of Energy which includes Mahachai Aquatic feed plant and Nong Jork food plant. Besides, Bangkok Produce Merchandising’s Bio-diesel project has also received the honorable mention for its renewable energy. This is the third time that CPF has received energy award consecutively, saving abundant energy and help save the environment.
CPF provides various operations to save energy include the concept of 1) Fully Utilization and Maximize Efficiently 2) “3 Rs” (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) 3) Waste to Energy 4) Renewable Energy such as Bio Mass 5) Technology Usage such as Co-Generation Technology
Virachai said that CPF sets the direction of future energy management by giving important to innovation to benefit the organization which includes founding energy innovative board to support engineers, environmentalist, specialist, executives and staff to participate in creating new innovation. For the successful projects, the company plans to expand and develop Co-Generation to Tri-Generation in order to help stop global warming.
